Police ask for public's help following stabbing incident

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on March 12, police were called to a business in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue East for a report of an injured person.

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating and asking for members of the public in the area surrounding the 500 block of 12th Street East to check any camera footage following an aggravated assault on Wednesday in Prince Albert.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on March 12, police were called to a business in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue East for a report of an injured person.

Officers quickly arrived and located a female with serious injuries consistent with a stabbing; she was treated by Parkland Ambulance and transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Further investigation led officers to a residence in the 500 block of 12th Street East where it is believed the assault occurred.

At this time there have been no arrests but it is believed the suspect and victim are known to each other.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with video surveillance from the area surrounding the 500 block of 12th Street East that may be relevant to the investigation to report it to police by calling 306-953- 4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
