The SJHL expects to have about 200 scouts from various levels of hockey in attendance at its annual Showcase in Warman.

The Battlefords North Stars and Yorkton Terriers swept their weekend home-and-home series. The Humboldt Broncos and Weyburn Red Wings each won the lone game they played over the weekend.

Matthew Reidy was named this year鈥檚 team captain. Eduard Wruck, Ian Maier, and Mathieu Gautier are this year鈥檚 assistant captains.

The Battlefords North Stars, Humboldt Broncos, Kindersley Klippers, La Ronge Ice Wolves, Melfort Mustangs, Melville Millionaires, Nipawin Hawks and Notre Dame Hounds start the 2022-23 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season on Sept. 16.

The Estevan Bruins will have a couple of familiar faces in goal when they start the 2022-23 regular season Friday night at Affinity Place against the Yorkton Terriers.聽
