ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service says it has made an arrest in connection with a recent bicycle theft.
Following a reported sighting of a stolen bicycle being ridden by a male in the northwest area of Estevan, members located the individual and subsequently arrested him for possession of stolen property. He was released and will attend Estevan Provincial Court at a later date to speak to the charge.
The EPS received a report of stolen recyclable materials from south Estevan. The matter remains under investigation.
Members responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a residence in the Pleasantdale area. The investigation is ongoing in this matter.
A report came in of loud music from a residence in southwest Estevan. Members attended and spoke with the homeowner, who was warned under the noise bylaw.
The EPS says it responded to 38 calls for service on the weekend. On Saturday night, the EPS conducted several high-visibility check stops and made numerous mandatory alcohol screening demands of drivers. All drivers tested were found to be sober. The EPS thanks everyone for arranging for a safe ride home.
