UPDATE:
SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN — The extreme cold warning that blanketed most of southern Saskatchewan has been lifted.
The warning was issued Tuesday afternoon. Only the southwest corner was not affected.
The temperature in many areas plunged below -30 C Tuesday night, and wind chill values were between -40 C and -45 C in many areas.
The last of the warnings ended early Wednesday afternoon. But temperatures remain below normal for much of southern Saskatchewan. They are supposed to warm up Thursday.
