I do believe spring has sprung – most of the snow has melted away, and boy is it ever dry. Not much runoff this year and most sloughs have very little water in them or dried up. The wildlife will be short of water too. I have seen some geese flying over, but not sure if they will stick around this spring or not. Before one knows it the green grass, pussy willows, leaves and even the wildflowers will begin to peek out from their homes. It is one of the nicest times of the year. Just noticed the pussy willows are out.
We have come to the end of another month and I must say that March seemed to be going out like a lion (according to the weather forecast). Although a spring storm was predicted to be here for a couple of days, I didn’t really want a storm, but what can we do? However, I guess one really shouldn’t complain about a little snow and wind as we have had a very nice winter. I don’t like that wind and I would have preferred that we receive some rain, which is very much needed. Hopefully next time the moisture will be in the form of rain.
When this comes out in print it will be the first weekend in April – a long weekend, which will turn into spring break for students and staff. Enjoy your holidays everyone. Hopefully no one had an April Fool’s trick played on them. And a Happy Easter to everyone.Â
