One of the most exciting times in my life was when I started taking driver鈥檚 education classes. I loved being in the driver鈥檚 seat. One of the most uncomfortable times in my life was when my girls started taking driver鈥檚 education classes.

It just looked and smelled so good. Pink, billowy, fluffy cotton candy. As it was being freshly spun in the huge tub, I couldn't stop my mouth from watering. I tried to talk myself out of buying it because I find it difficult to eat.

When the remains of 215 children were found in unmarked graves at a former Indian residential school site last month in Kamloops, B.C.

The editor: Two-hundred fifteen children were buried in a graveyard beside a residential school in Kamloops, B.C. They varied in ages; one as young as three. They lived. They all had names. They all had hopes and dreams.

The editor: Canada鈥檚 Conservatives are calling out this Liberal government, along with the Bloc Quebecois and the New Democratic Party, for their collective action to muzzle debate on Bill C-10, which ironically limits your freedom of speech online.

The editor: As I read the news about the unmarked graves from the Marieval Residential School, I felt sick to my stomach remembering the racist attitude I had toward the White Bear First Nation growing up in Bellegarde in the 1980s.

A grad parade for the Alida Grade 12 students was held on June 25. It began around 5 p.m. from the Alida Rink parking lot and ended on Prairie Avenue, where the centre flower pots held a posted picture of the grads.

On June 19, family members gathered at the Wawota Cemetery in memory of Daniel Nyeste.

Regardless of whether we鈥檙e facing restrictions related to a pandemic, or if we鈥檙e in normal times like we鈥檙e about to return to, there鈥檚 no shortage of things to do in the Estevan area each summer.
