Things are finally beginning to look like summer. June 1 came with wonderful sunshine and warm temperatures and not so much cool wind. There is more activities out around the building and both sides of Clifford Wilson's unit.

Congratulations to Shana Puskas who opened the former Esso Café on June 1. This gives everyone another choice for eating out. In the 1970s, Bill and Marie Jensen took over managing the Café and the garage.

Cheers: Cheers to the volunteers who were part of the United Way Estevan’s Day of Caring last week. Those who benefitted from a Day of Caring project were very appreciative. The Sunshine Bags were a welcome treat, too.

When a child dies a universe perishes. When a young life is taken, thousands of lines of lives break, and those who are still alive, those who loved that child, can never fully heal.

Estevan has long been known as the Energy City, and coal mining is a big part of our moniker.

Although I’ve always been an outgoing person, during this past year I’ve gone out of my way to encourage everyone I meet. Mask-wearing has made the adventure even more interesting since I’m never quite sure who I’m talking to.
