The Canora Cougars鈥� senior boys came in second in their home tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Cougars defeated Norquay 66-49 in the opening game of the eight-team tournament.

Playing to a 5-5 tie against the visiting Esterhazy White Flyers on Sunday, the Canora Peewee Cobras remain undefeated this season. It was the first time these two teams have met this year, said Kent Hembling, head coach.

What started as a simple pumpkin and a 鈥減ay it forward鈥� card resulted in a massive donation from Canora to the Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon on November 30.

Five adults and five youths have been charged in connection with numerous incidents of break and enters, thefts and mischief, which included 27 charges stemming from incidents in Canora, Sturgis and Preeceville area between September 1 and November 1

The Canora Child Action Plan (CAP) will begin operating out of its own premises beginning January 1. During the December 15 meeting of Canora town council, an offer from CAP to rent the building for $300 a month was accepted by town council.
