Diorama projects created by Canora Composite School students bring to life the near-impossible conditions faced by soldiers during the First World War.

Police were dispatched to a hit-and-run complaint in Canora where an SUV with a flat tire struck a parked Chevy Malibu and drove away. Police located the vehicle parked across town. An intoxicated female was questioned about the vehicle collision but was subsequently arrested for an incident unrelated to the hit-and-run.

The majority of crop damage was due to wind, waterfowl and rain. Some of the crop is coming off tough and being placed into aeration bins.

The anticipation and excitement for the upcoming hockey season were palpable during the first pre-season hockey practice at the Broda Sportsplex on Sept. 28.
