MONTREAL LAKE — Conservation officers have collected evidence from a scene where fish were left to waste and are asking the public for any information that may help in their investigation.
On Jan. 28, Christopher Lake conservation officers received a report that seven whole northern pike were left to waste approximately 300 metres from shore near Timber Bay on Montreal Lake. The fish are believed to have been left on the ice between Saturday, Jan. 27 and the morning of Sunday, Jan. 28.
