NORTH BATTLEFORD — The North Battleford Fire Department responded to an early morning call at a structure fire Tuesday at 1491 102nd Street. The residence was unoccupied and NBFD officials indicate there are no injuries at this time.
The structure is deemed a complete loss.
While NBFD personnel are on the scene and as such, 15th Avenue between 101st and 102nd Streets will be closed to all traffic. This impacts the 15th Avenue entrance of McKitrick Elementary School, making it inaccessible by vehicles.
A Voyent Alert! was issued as well to indicate this closure. It was estimated this portion of the street would be closed until approximately 9 a.m.
The NBFD asks that the general public respect the barricades/pylons in place for the street closure to ensure the safety of emergency services personnel and those accessing the elementary school.
