Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Regina

Police and Coroner's Service investigating, contacting next-of-kin.

REGINA –  A 47-year-old Regina man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue East.

Police were called to the area on March 4 at 7 a.m., diverting traffic and closing the eastbound lanes of the roadway until just after 11 a.m.

“EMS arrived a short time later and confirmed that the male was deceased,” said RPS in a. Media release. “The name of the deceased will not be released at this time. Notification is being made to his next-of-kin.”

Police and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service are investigating the fatal collision.

“At this early stage in the investigation, no other details are available,” RPS said. “It is not known at this time what charges, if any, may result.”
