The Humboldt and District Music Festival hosted their final awards concert on May 1 at the Marysburg Assumption Church.

The Humboldt and District Music Festival continued this week with the vocal, choral and speech arts competition held at Jerome Assembly Hall in Muenster on Apr. 25-27.

The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery in partnership with the Reid-Thompson Library hosted a book launch at the Gallery on Apr. 28.

Promises a country rockin' good time

An independent artist whose new album, The Montana Kid, comes out May 2 will be playing in North Battleford Saturday, May 7.

The Humboldt Music Festival continued this week with the Piano competitions Apr. 18-21 being performed at the St. Jerome Assembly Hall at the St. Peter鈥檚 College.

Trinity Baptist Church, located at 1702 - 106th St. North Battleford, will be hosting the Asante Children's Choir at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 22. "Asante鈥� is a Swahili word that translates to 鈥渢hank you鈥� in English.

The house concert season is well underway, and the next offering locally is a performance at the Labman-Kramm venue in West Park, Battleford. It's this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Humboldt received an injection of country and western flair as the Sons of the Pioneers brought their award winning show to St. Augustine Church on Apr.

Humboldt is in the musical season in April with the Annual Humboldt and District Music Festival kicking off with the band, string, and guitar competitions Apr. 11-12.
