New pool - highlight of Canada Day celebration

The new outdoor swimming pool was officially opened to the public on July 1 at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. This was held in conjunction with the City's Canada Day celebration. About 935 children and adults registered to swim on the 1st.

Silver Seals compete in Assiniboia

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of June 28 to July 7: *On July 7, at 12:14 p.m. police responded to a complaint of an apartment that had possibly been burnt on South Hill. The fire was out prior to arrival of police.
