Meadow Lake man dies after shooting at business Tuesday morning

The injured man was taken to hospital by EMS where he was declared deceased.

MEADOW LAKE – A 23-year-old Meadow Lake man was shot at a business in Meadow Lake at about 5:40 a.m. on July 18. The injured man was taken to hospital by EMS where he was declared deceased.

Meadow Lake RCMP, North Battleford RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) secured the scene and gathered evidence for processing. The scene has now been cleared.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service also attended and ordered an autopsy.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken over the investigation and are requesting anyone with information in relation to this incident to report it to the Meadow Lake RCMP by calling 306-236-2570 or their local police of jurisdiction.
