SHELLBROOK – Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery on Service Road in Shellbrook at about 6 p.m. on June 22.
Neil Michel, 34, from Pelican Narrows has been arrested and police are seeking the female who was with him. Police didn’t provide an estimated age range for the female.
The investigation by Ahtahkakoop/Shellbrook RCMP determined a man and a female approached an occupied parked pick-up truck and got in. The man pointed a firearm at the driver, who exited the vehicle. The man and female then drove away in it. The driver did not report physical injuries to police.

The man then got out of the truck and tried to flee on foot but was arrested without incident a short time later.
Officers located and seized an air gun from the truck.

He is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 26.
