Eugene Boychuk of Sturgis was honoured with the Kin Canada Lifetime Achievement award for his dedication to the Kinsmen Club. He received the award on August 22 at the national convention hosted in Brandon, Man.

Representatives from nine museums located in the east-central district of Saskatchewan met on October 21 for the fall networking meeting. Sturgis hosted the meeting, holding it at Grace United Church.

The Preeceville School opened its doors and welcomed community members and parents to join students and staff in celebrating education week that kicked off October 19 and concluded October 23.

Though she had never studied art, Susan Michl said that one day she felt inspired to paint a mural of a heavenly scene on the fence at the front of her property at 220 Norway Road. 鈥淚 painted it but it鈥檚 God鈥檚 creation,鈥� she said.
